i Know Kati

The i Know Kati campaign, loosely translated as “I Know Now”, is aligned with World AIDS Day and aims to raise awareness on HIV prevention while increasing access to HIV testing and counselling services. Designed to empower young people, the campaign accelerates action and ensures access to HIV information and services across under-served communities in Uganda.

Recognizing that the HIV burden is often compounded by social issues such as gender-based violence and other co-morbidities, i Know Kati adopts a multi-dimensional approach. It serves as an advocacy platform, bringing together organizations, stakeholders, and community leaders to drive collective action. Using edutainment approaches, including film, music, and interactive events, the campaign engages youth in ways that resonate with their interests while equipping them with the knowledge and tools to make informed decisions about their health.
