The awards show is an initiative by the Ikon Aspire Foundation and Reach A Hand Uganda that was created to honour remarkable filmmakers and to encourage and promote quality film production as a key avenue to communicate with young people about key social issues affecting their lives and communities such as sexual reproductive health and rights.
