Brave Girls Tournament

Brave Girls Tournament is a complementary event to the girl's festival, it brings together young girls in school to participate in a soccer tournament. The tournament is one of the many channels we use to empower, celebrate, give a voice, challenge, uplift, inspire and advocate for the rights of the girl child in Uganda. The Tournament gives a platform for girls in secondary schools and universities to participate in a football tournament while also connecting them to networks that they can leverage to create a better environment for them to make greater decisions for their future, the platform uplifts talent for young girls and have them develop their skills further positioning themselves to take on brave actions in sports and celebrate brave contributions that girls and women have made towards the growth and development of sports in the country as a previously stereotyped activity in many cultures.
